The board also took into consideration the following: relationship of the ed's compensation to the compensation of other employees, the complexity of the organization and its size, the job duties of the ed, the individual's salary history, and the organization's need for the services of the ed.”

Key achievements include: pact developed and launched pact's solidarity network of 70+ congregations committed to offering sanctuary and support to immigrants fearing deportation. Pact co-led the development and operation of the collaborative rapid response network with a 24-7 hotline and trained volunteer rapid responders to support immigrant neighbors when immigration and customs enforcement ("ice") comes to our community. With the pico ca network and allies, pact won sb 54, the california values act, to separate local and state law enforcement from immigration enforcement across the state. Pact won new policies and programs to protect renters in the face of skyrocketing rents and evictions. With the san jose police department, pact secured new policies and practices to reduce racial profiling and use of force and build community trust. Pact increased meaningful parent involvement with public schools and districts to close the achievement gap so that all students have opportunities for success in college and life.”
