Thanks to awarded grants, we have successfully restored the circa 1900 grain milling equipment. Additionally, dam restoration grants have funded a new control gate structure essential for monitoring water flow. The county economic development corporation and local politicians are actively assisting us in securing further grants for the complete restoration of the dam. This restoration will enable the dam to generate hydroelectric power, providing on-site electricity and allowing us to sell surplus energy back to the local utility company. This renewable energy initiative serves as an educational model for local schools, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and a green-conscious society. |
