The Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route and the Franco-American Alliance is a richly illustrated book that brings to life the extraordinary story of the crucial wartime alliance between France and America during the American Revolution. The narrative is keyed to a fold-out map and further enhanced by a guide for travelers to historical sites along the 9-state National Historic Route that retraces the route of the Allied Forces from Newport to victory in Yorktown. The book was written at the request of the American Society of the French Legion of Honor and the Society of the Cincinnati.$0$6,573

IRS990ScheduleA/FactsAndCircumstancesTestTxt0Values Through History (VTH) submits that throughout its existence to date and in the future, it qualifies as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code 509(a)(1) by satisfying the requirements of Regulations 1.170A-9(f)(3) as follows:(i). Ten Percent Test: VTH has historically and normally can be expected in the future to receive over 10% of its total support from the general public.(ii). Attraction of Public Support: VTH is dedicated to bringing to life and making relevant the world-changing events, foundational documents, and civic principles that are the bedrock of our nation in a way that inspires greatness, ignites curiosity for learning, generates respect and responsibility, and unifies Americans through their shared national identity. The organization accomplishes its mission through a tightly integrated, upper elementary, total immersion curriculum that covers the people, big ideas, issues, and events of the American Revolution and the civic principles that are the foundation of the nation. It also educates and trains educators. It has attracted large gifts from two foundations supporting its efforts and modest donations from other contributors. Those large gifts have caused the public support percentage to be low. (iii). Percentage of Financial Support: VTH received about 22% of its support from public sources during the past year and over 35% since its inception. (iv). Sources of Support: VTH receives its support from a representative number of foundations and individuals rather than receiving almost all its support from the members of a single family or small group of individuals. (v) Representative Governing Body: VTH's governing body is now composed of 5 civic and business leaders. The board continues its search for additional individuals who can bring their skills to VTH. Current and future governing body members are active and engaged in their communities, can support the strategic development plan for VTH, and are actively committed to reaching out for public support. (vi). Availability of Facilities or Services and Public Participation: VTH's curriculum and teacher training are available to all public and private schools in the Greater Houston area and are being utilized by over one hundred fifty schools in 14 other states. Because Covid caused schools to convert to online and digital delivery formats, both schools already using the curriculum and new schools want our materials to be in these formats. For this reason, VTH is now converting its live teacher training, most classroom materials, and lesson plans in every subject to a state-of-the-art digital format for interactive, on-demand, digital delivery. This is a complex and expensive process, but when completed, the Why America Is Free Curriculum and teacher training will be available to all schools and educators nationwide at little or no cost to the schools. Some of the individual lesson plans and educational videos are already available online, and more are being prepared. VTH is part of a cooperative effort by leading organizations and institutions (Museum of the American Revolution, Mount Vernon, College of William and Mary, DAR, SAR, etc.) to make outstanding US founding history and civics educational materials and teacher training widely and easily available. The co-directors of VTH are also involved in other civic, historical, and educational organizations. Through the networks of these organizations and institutions, knowledge of and easy access to VTH's digital materials and teacher training will be expanded as rapidly as they are available. Knowledge of and financial support of VTH itself is also expanding through the exposure afforded by these organizations. Additionally, VTH board members will be making numerous presentations to the public and to target audiences to publicize broadly the need for and effectiveness of its curriculum as well as to gain broad public financial support for its mission. CONCLUSION: VTH believes it qualifies as a
