Comparative data for similar positions in the United States museums are reviewed along with a minimum of a four to five year compensation history. Additionally the Committee establishes specific criteria for compensation decisions. Eloise Brice - University of Houston - The Vice Chancellor Vice President for Legal Affairs General Counsel is responsible for providing the Chancellor with executive staff salary recommendations upon review and advice by the Department of Human Resources and external consulting firms when required. John Mangum Elizabeth Condic and Gary Ginstling - Houston Symphony Society - Annually Human Resources staff obtain salary surveys for both the Houston area and orchestras of a similar budget size. The information is made available to the Board President. The Compensation Committee consisting of the Board President Board Chair and any other members as may be appointed by the Executive Committee are responsible for reviewing the comparative data and approving the Executive Director CEOs compensation package. Budget restraints are taken into account.”
