“The Form 990 is prepared by a third party CPA who sends it to the organization for review. It is reviewed by the Coordinator and Treasurer. The return is presented to the Finance Committee who approves the return before it is filed with the Internal Revenue Service. Upon receiving approval, the CPA processes the return for signature and efiling. It is then announced at the monthly Directors' meeting that the Form 990 has been filed and is available for review by all directors.”

“Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b - Organization's process to review form 990. The tax return is prepared by a third party CPA who sends it to the organization for review by the Coordinator and Treasurer. The return is presented to the Finance Committee who approves the return before it is filed with the IRS. Upon approval, the CPA processes the return for e-filing. It is then announced at the monthly Directors' meeting that the return has been filed and is available for review by all directors. Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C - Enforcement of Conflicts Policy The conflict of interest policy covers any appointed director, ex officio director, officer or employee who has a direct or indirect financial interest or duality of interest. An interested person must disclose the existence of the interest and be given the opportunity to disclose all material facts to the Finance and Administrative Committee. Any director may recuse himself or herself at any time from involvement in any decision or discussion in which the direct believes he or she has or may have a conflict of interest, without going through the process of determining whether a conflict of interest exists. The committee, without the presence of the interested person, shall determine whether to recommend to the Board of Directors that a conflict of interest exists. Upon receiving recommendation, the Board shall allow the interested person to make a presentation before the proceeding to deliberate and vote, with the presence of the interested party, on whether a conflict of interest exists. If a conflict of interest exists, after exercising due diligence, the Board will determine if the organizatin can obtain a more advantageous transaction or arrangement with reasonable efforts from a person or entity that would not give rise to a conflict. If this is not possible, the Board shell determine by majority vote of the disinterested directors whether the transaction is fair and reasonable and in the best interest of the organization. If the orgainization believes an interested person has failed to disclose actual or possible conflicts of interest, it will inform the interested party of its basis and give opportunity to explain the alleged failure to disclose. The Board will take appropriate disciplinary and corrective actin after hearing the interested person.”
