Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6

Pursuant to the apc bylaws, all individual pharmacist, individual pharmacy technician, individual associate members, pharmacy/facility individual pharmacist, pharmacy/facility individual technician and pharmacy/facility individual associate members are entitled to vote in annual elections to select the organization's board of directors to represent them on the apc board of directors for their defined geographic district. In addition, the apc membership is responsible for approval or disapproval by ballot of any changes to the apc bylaws. Each individual membership whose membership is in good standing at the time of the association's election is permitted one vote each. Student pharmacists, corporate partner business, honorary members, and member pharmacies/facilities/practices, and other individuals within defined categories do not have the ability to participate in officer/director elections nor are permitted to approve or disapprove the apc governance documents. The officers of apc shall be elected by the board of directors.
