“Chartered in april 1990, the world youth foundation (wyf) is a national, grassroots non-profit 5013 organization that serves as a development vehicle to enhance the positive growth and character of the "whole child" - mind, body and character, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, or economic background. We are dedicated, committed, and overwhelmingly supportive of initiatives that foster student success. Our organization equips youth with the necessary experiences and resources to function as proactive citizens of their communities. By applying their "definitive voice", our mission is clear- "teach all youth how to win in life against all odds". Staying focused on our mission, the program directs upward and economic mobility and sustainable resources to the families served. Holding on to our belief in the premise, "it takes a village to raise a child, we engage our communities by providing free resources to youth and underrepresented groups, with the help of our committed professionals and dedicated volunteers. Wyf over the past 30 years has developed prevention, intervention, and empowerment programs which serve adolescents, teens, and young adults. The programs are inter-generational and have supported equity and economic sustainability. We currently service underrepresented youth, families, and communities in the greater houston area, surrounding counties, throughout the us and globe.”
