Our organization is committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable youth in Nyahururu Kenya. We are actively developing a childrens home and a secondary school that together serve as a foundation of care and learning for 50 orphaned abandoned and neglected children. In addition we provide high-quality education to more than 130 students including children from the surrounding community. Our work also extends beyond the school wallsthrough targeted outreach efforts we support local residents with food relief clean water initiatives agricultural assistance and the distribution of essential supplies. At the heart of our mission is a belief in the potential of every child. Mission and Program Overview

Mission

We are developing a children's home and secondary school in Nyahururu, Kenya. We provide complete care to 50 orphans, abandoned and neglected children. We provide quality education to over 100 students from our home and students from the surrounding community. In addition, we are expanding our efforts to provide support to the residents of the nearby village through food relief and access to clean water. Our primary focus is to support and empower disadvantaged youth by providing access to quality care and educational opportunities that will help to break the cycle of poverty that determines the future of so many young people around the world.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Rapha Secondary School remains a cornerstone of our programming providing education to over 130 studentsmost of whom are orphaned come from impoverished backgrounds or have experienced abuse or neglect. The school supports four academic levels Form 1 through Form 4 and is staffed by a dedicated team of 12 teachers and administrative personnel. Operational expenses cover a wide range of needs including staff salaries textbooks laboratory materials technology classroom and medical supplies desks seating food furnishings sports equipment educational excursions and other school-related costs. This we have focused on the development of a computer lab for the schoo.$0$41,845
Rapha Childrens Home operates as an integral part of our educational campus offering full-time care for over 50 children who have been orphaned abandoned or come from highly vulnerable situations. The children ranging in age from 5 to 19 receive holistic support in a safe nurturing environment. A team of eight staff members provides daily care including supervision cooking cleaning and assistance with agricultural tasks that support the home. Operational costs include staff wages food dormitory furnishings healthcare cleaning supplies recreational materials and other expenses necessary for the wellbeing of the children. Over the past year funds were used to complete bathrooms and showers in both the dormitories.$0$34,678
A key area of our work focuses on sustainability initiatives that support long-term self-reliance and resource development for our community. These efforts include regenerative agriculture dairy farming poultry keeping solar energy clean water access and irrigation systems. Over the past year we made significant progress by launching a regenerative agriculture project expanding our farming operations through the rental of additional land to cultivate maize and beans and growing our dairy initiative through the purchase of additional cows. These programs not only help meet the nutritional needs of the children and staff but also serve as hands-on learning opportunities and income-generating activities for the center.$0$9,268
