“Every board member is provided with a copy of the organization's conflict of interest policy. The executive director and board members are required to annually document in writing any interests, relationships or holdings that could potentially result in a conflict of interest. If a conflict of interest is identified from an annual disclosure, the organization's board will review the conflict and take appropriate action, which may include prohibiting an individual from participating in the board's deliberations and decisions regarding a certain transaction. If a conflict is identified during a meeting, the Board will decide what appropriate action to take.”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: The Conscious Collections program showcases thoughtfully curated, ethically-produced products across many lifestyle categories. The selections are based on health of ingredients, environmental impact, efficacy, and verified standards including USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO and Fair Trade. The products are generously donated each month by our esteemed partners. All collection proceeds support the TG Fellowship and Internship Program year round. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: The Conscious Kitchen program partners with schools, guiding them to implement food programs based on five foundational principles: fresh, local, organic, seasonal and non-GMO (FLOSN). The Conscious Kitchen is a pilot program at Bayside Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, in partnership with Executive Chef Justin Everett of Cavallo Point Lodge, as well as Whole Foods Market, Good Earth Natural Foods and the school district. In just two short years, The Conscious Kitchen has transformed school culture in the dining hall and beyond. Teachers have reported increased leadership qualities exhibited by students; improved academic performance; a 67% decrease in disciplinary cases; and an increase in attendance. Teachers have also observed students treating one another with respect, improved manners and open communication. Through their participation in menu development, food preparation, service, and zero-waste cleanup, students now have a sense of pride and ownership in their school food. For the first time, they are coming together with staff to share meals in an inclusive dining experience that fosters conversation, joy, and trust. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: The Intern/Fellowship Program mobilizes youth to become active around the issues that directly impact personal and environmental health. With resources, powerful online and off-line programs, lifestyle and campus initiatives, and strong leadership and mentorship opportunities, the organization helps facilitate the transition from conventional to conscious living in collaboration with academic institutions, partners, non-profits, policy makers and global leaders.The organization works to guide and motivate students around sustainability platforms, support them to plan impactful projects, engage key people and resources, and help with the implementation of youth-driven initiatives on campuses. When students see that they can directly affect small and large scale change, they are likely to carry this strong sense of responsibility and stewardship into a global framework.”
