“New items are donated and or purchased to be distributed to poor and homeless men, women and children in lancaster, pa; philadelphia, pa; new york, ny; harlem ny; minneapolis, mn; thoreau, nm; and greenwood, ms. The items include but are not limited to: socks, underwear, undershirts, diapers, blankets, winter coats, hats, gloves, toiletries, food, plush toys and gift cards. These items were distributed during the following 2020 projects: socks for the homeless, blessed bloomers xix, stocking the inn, for the children, blessed bloomers for babies, the surprise project, and christmas treasures. Other projects include: prayer bears - new or hand- made bears are distributed to children living in homeless shelters. Tiny treasures - personal-sized toiletries (tootbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hand lotion, shampoo and conditioner are distributed to the homeless on bread lines and in soup kitchens. Father cassian a. Miles jubilee scholarship - an annual 500 scholarship is given to assist in the cost of catholic education and tuition; the student is selected by the school principal at a different school each year. 3 o'clock coffee - provides coffee to soup kitchens. Mychal's bread - provides food items to pantries and soup kitchens. The philippine mission project - provides monthly financial support to a family selected by the christian foundation for children and aging. The surprise project - 5 and 10 mcdonald's gift cards are given to the homeless and poor. Holy hats - crocheted, knitted, and purchased winter hats are given to the homwless and poor during cold winter months. MILES JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP - AN ANNUAL 500 SCHOLARSHIP IS GIVEN TO ASSIST IN THE COST OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION AND TUITION; THE STUDENT IS SELECTED BY THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL AT A DIFFERENT SCHOOL EACH YEAR. 3 O'CLOCK COFFEE - PROVIDES COFFEE TO SOUP KITCHENS. MYCHAL'S BREAD - PROVIDES FOOD ITEMS TO PANTRIES AND SOUP KITCHENS. STOCKING THE INN - PROVIDES NEEDED ITEMS (FOOD, SOCKS, UNDERWEAR, HATS, GLOVES, TOILETRIES, DIAPERS, CLOTHING) TO STOCK THE ST. FRANCIS INN SOUP KITCHEN IN PHILADELPIA. THE ANNUAL WALK OF REMEMBRANCE - COMMEMORATES THE LIVES LOST ON 9/11/01 - THE ORGANIZATION PARTICIPATES WITH THE 9/11 WALK COMMITTEE IN NEW YORK AND DISTRIBUTES T- SHIRTS, BOOKS, PATCHES, CAPS, AND PRAYER CARDS TO SHARE AND SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF FATHER MYCHAL JUDGE TO THOSE IN ATTENDANCE. FOR THE CHILDREN - PROVIDES FOOD ITEMS FOR BAGGED LUNCHES PREPARED FOR FAMILIES DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC, SOCKS DISTRIBUTED TO NATIVE AMERICAN CHILDREN LIVING ON ST. BONAVENTURE INDIAN MISSIAN AND ATTENDING A PRIVATE TUITION FREE CATHOLIC SCHOOL. |
