“FORM 990, PART VI, LINES 15A & 15B: Compensation decisions for the executive jobs are based on relevant compensation survey data, evidenced jobholder performance and available resources. The CEO OF buckner foundation, in consultation with the trustees is responsible for setting the compensation for the President job. The board chair coordinates with the human resources consultant to conduct a formal evaluation of the job performance of the president. The evaluation involves feedback from the president, his direct reports and the trustees. That data is reviewed by the board members and a report is reviewed with the president during his annual job performance evaluation meeting. This meeting occurs during the last 6 months of each year. A similar process is used for all executive job holders.”

“FORM 990, PART VI, LINE 4 The amended and restated Bylaws for Buckner Foundation, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1st, 2014, change how the members of the Board of Trustees are elected. Buckner Foundation supports BUCKNER CHILDREN & FAMILY SERVICES, INC, BUCKNER ADOPTION & MATERNITY SERVICES, INC, and BUCKNER RETIREMENT SERVICES, INC. Previously, at least one-third of the Board of Trustees had to be "Representative Trustees" (trustees elected by BCFS, BAMS, and BRS). Effective in 2014, all of the Board members are elected by BCFS, BAMS, and BRS (each entity elects 1/3 of the board members). The change was made in response to IRS rules and regulations affecting supporting organizations. Beginning in 2014, Buckner Foundation will be consolidated with BCFS, BAMS, and BRS.”
