“Process to review form 990: the form 990 is prepared by an outside accounting firm. Once completed the return is reviewed by the finance committee. After the commitee's review, the organization is required to provide a ten day period for proper due diligence and review by the board of trustees. All reviews are completed before the filing of the return with the irs.”

“Process for monitoring compliance with conflict of interest policy: at the beginning of each school year, during the first board of trustees meeting, the trustees are provided a conflict of interest policy which the trustees review and sign. The policy is discussed and if anyone has an interest that could give rise to a conflict, then it is discussed at the meeting. The conflicted person abstains from voting on the matter.”

“Process for determining compensation of top management: the board has a compensation committee that determines the amount of compensation of the head of school. The committee reviews the compensation of other area heads of school as part of their annual deliberations. The review is documented in the committee's meeting minutes. Form 990, part vi, section b, line 15b process for determining compensation of other officers: compensation of the other officer is determined by the head of school who conducts an annual job performance evaluation. The evaluation is documented in the hr employee files.”

“Process for making documents available: the organization makes all of its governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements available to the public upon written request. The organization asks for a period of 5 business days to properly deliver the requested documents to the interested parties.”

“DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY: The executive committee shall be comprised of all officers of the board, the chairs of the standing committees and up to two other members of the board to be selected by the Chairman. The committee shall have all of the authority of the board in the governance of the school when the board is not in session and there is prudent action required for the management of the school. Any actions of the executive committee shall be reported at the next meeting of the board for action.”
