Purposes of the show are to promote responsibility, leadership skills and interest in raising farm animals for area youth. The County Farm Bureau volunteers as well as the local 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters participate in this important event.

The purpose of the conference is to give selected high school students in Texas a better understanding of the various forms of government and educate them on their responsibilities as citizens. The conference runs three full days and includes lectures, discussions and films by outstanding authorities in government, history and economics.
