OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: CONNECTING KIDS TO COVERAGE & NAVIGATORS: This program provides Navigation Assistance to families to apply for CHIP coverage for children and Medicaid for pregnant individuals. The program assists with understanding the program, assessing eligibility, and completing and submitting applications.”

“The Council is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and has not been classified as a private foundation under Section 509(a) of the IRC. However, income generated from activities unrelated to the Councils exempt purpose is subject to tax under IRC Section 511. The Council did not conduct any unrelated business activities that would be subject to Federal income taxes during the year ended September 30, 2024. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is made.GAAP requires the evaluation of tax positions taken in the course of preparing the Councils tax return and recognition of a tax liability or (asset) if the Council has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue SErvice. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Council and has concluded that as of September 30, 2024, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements.”
