1. Sos now has a total of six transport vehicles, including a designated handicapped van, and provides all maintenance such as tires, brakes, windshields, etc. Although these are the main modes of transport for the military personnel, during peak holidays we must rent buses and cars as well as utilize taxis to continue providing free transportation for military personnel and their families. During 2016, we were able to provide over 20,800 free rides for military personnel saving them over $2,964,000 in personal taxi/transporation costs. 2. Our new veterans communication center and sos headquarters located within our resale boutique, opened in 2015, has been able to assist over 46 veterans with on-site veterans affair service information for resolution tools/programs for benefit issues. The center has been able to recruit over 70 volunteers essential to transporting military personnel. This center is for all veterans of all services. 3. Our resale boutique, opened in 2015, has accepted an enthusiastic number of donations, including clothing, furniture, household items, books, electronics, and other high-end resellable goods that provides the area with a new and more impressive selection of resale items than other thrift and/or consignment stores. With successful advertising, the boutique not only houses the veterans communication center but also raises funds for the transporation services we provide to military personnel. We were also able to provide eleven complete a veteran in need house remodels providing home furnishings from donations to the boutique. Our fundraising efforts, including our golf tournaments with silent auction activities, are highly successful due to participation of our many dedicated volunteers, whom we also recruit during these fundraising activities. We participate in local parades, festivals, and other activities to raise funds and accept volunteers; also, with the continued support of on-air interviews by local tv station kmir and the hard-copy articles by the desert sun, we are able to reach more potential donors and volunteers. There is also an additional location in indio of 8,000 sq ft that was acquired in 2016, which warehouses in kind donations. Sos also has acquired a donation of a 1973 motor home which is used as a mobile command center/rest and refreshment center and accomodation for multiday fundraising activities for key employee, officers, and directors as needed. Sos has a trailer that is used to pick up large donations and transport them to the resale boutique and/or the warehouse in indio. The resale boutique is restocked with items from the warehouse and transported using the trailer as well if needed.

SOS NOW HAS A TOTAL OF SIX TRANSPORT VEHICLES, INCLUDING A DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED VAN, AND PROVIDES ALL MAINTENANCE SUCH AS TIRES, BRAKES, WINDSHIELDS, ETC. ALTHOUGH THESE ARE THE MAIN MODES OF TRANSPORT FOR THE MILITARY PERSONNEL, DURING PEAK HOLIDAYS WE MUST RENT BUSES AND CARS AS WELL AS UTILIZE TAXIS TO CONTINUE PROVIDING FREE TRANSPORTATION FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAMILIES. DURING 2016, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE OVER 20,800 FREE RIDES FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL SAVING THEM OVER $2,964,000 IN PERSONAL TAXI/TRANSPORATION COSTS. 2. OUR NEW VETERANS COMMUNICATION CENTER AND SOS HEADQUARTERS LOCATED WITHIN OUR RESALE BOUTIQUE, OPENED IN 2015, HAS BEEN ABLE TO ASSIST OVER 46 VETERANS WITH ON-SITE VETERANS AFFAIR SERVICE INFORMATION FOR RESOLUTION TOOLS/PROGRAMS FOR BENEFIT ISSUES. THE CENTER HAS BEEN ABLE TO RECRUIT OVER 70 VOLUNTEERS ESSENTIAL TO TRANSPORTING MILITARY PERSONNEL. THIS CENTER IS FOR ALL VETERANS OF ALL SERVICES. 3. OUR RESALE BOUTIQUE, OPENED IN 2015, HAS ACCEPTED AN ENTHUSIASTIC NUMBER OF DONATIONS, INCLUDING CLOTHING, FURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, BOOKS, ELECTRONICS, AND OTHER HIGH-END RESELLABLE GOODS THAT PROVIDES THE AREA WITH A NEW AND MORE IMPRESSIVE SELECTION OF RESALE ITEMS THAN OTHER THRIFT AND/OR CONSIGNMENT STORES. WITH SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING, THE BOUTIQUE NOT ONLY HOUSES THE VETERANS COMMUNICATION CENTER BUT ALSO RAISES FUNDS FOR THE TRANSPORATION SERVICES WE PROVIDE TO MILITARY PERSONNEL. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO PROVIDE ELEVEN COMPLETE A VETERAN IN NEED HOUSE REMODELS PROVIDING HOME FURNISHINGS FROM DONATIONS TO THE BOUTIQUE. OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, INCLUDING OUR GOLF TOURNAMENTS WITH SILENT AUCTION ACTIVITIES, ARE HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL DUE TO PARTICIPATION OF OUR MANY DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS, WHOM WE ALSO RECRUIT DURING THESE FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES. WE PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL PARADES, FESTIVALS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES TO RAISE FUNDS AND ACCEPT VOLUNTEERS; ALSO, WITH THE CONTINUED SUPPORT OF ON-AIR INTERVIEWS BY LOCAL TV STATION KMIR AND THE HARD-COPY ARTICLES BY THE DESERT SUN, WE ARE ABLE TO REACH MORE POTENTIAL DONORS AND VOLUNTEERS. THERE IS ALSO AN ADDITIONAL LOCATION IN INDIO OF 8,000 SQ FT THAT WAS ACQUIRED IN 2016, WHICH WAREHOUSES IN KIND DONATIONS. SOS ALSO HAS ACQUIRED A DONATION OF A 1973 MOTOR HOME WHICH IS USED AS A MOBILE COMMAND CENTER/REST AND REFRESHMENT CENTER AND ACCOMODATION FOR MULTIDAY FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES FOR KEY EMPLOYEE, OFFICERS, AND DIRECTORS AS NEEDED. SOS HAS A TRAILER THAT IS USED TO PICK UP LARGE DONATIONS AND TRANSPORT THEM TO THE RESALE BOUTIQUE AND/OR THE WAREHOUSE IN INDIO. THE RESALE BOUTIQUE IS RESTOCKED WITH ITEMS FROM THE WAREHOUSE AND TRANSPORTED USING THE TRAILER AS WELL IF NEEDED.
