Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

During the 20242025 fiscal year, recovering couples anonymous (rca) conducted substantial programmatic, outreach, governance, and operational activities in furtherance of its exempt purpose. Rca successfully hosted its 2025 annual convention and annual business meeting, attended by more than 90 couples, with all convention-related expenses paid in full. Planning for the 2026 annual convention in denver, colorado (july 2426, 2026) was underway during the reporting period. Rcas committees supported outreach, fellowship growth, and public awareness. The growing the fellowship committee focused on increasing rcas visibility among professionals and referral sources, including therapists, treatment programs, and recovery organizations. Activities included professional outreach, dissemination of informational materials, collaboration with treatment programs, and efforts to secure professional and media recognition. The outreach committee addressed challenges associated with increased virtual meetings, improved meeting locator data, and worked to recruit regional outreach coordinators across the united states, canada, and international regions. The literature committee oversaw the creation, editing, and preparation of rca literature, including the completion of final editing and indexing for take my hand: daily inspirations for couples, a member-written daily reader. The committee also supported initiatives to expand inclusivity through literature serving diverse populations, including bipoc, lgbtq+, interracial, and differently abled couples. The merchandise services committee ensured the availability of rca-approved literature, pamphlets, and time-in-program medallions. During the fiscal year, total merchandise sales increased approximately 21.6% compared to the prior year, inventory levels were maintained, and the organization transitioned to an updated web-based ordering system. Oversight of printing, inventory, contractors, and pricing recommendations was conducted with board approval as required. The structure committee supported organizational governance by assisting with annual business meeting preparation, ballot proposals, delegate credentialing, and updates to official governing documents. The committee also provided guidance to the board and fellowship regarding organizational structure and compliance matters. The technology, website, and communications committee maintained rcas websites, meeting locator, archives, online store, and virtual meeting infrastructure. The committee supported the annual business meeting and convention, coordinated zoom services, managed email communications, and initiated development of a redesigned website. Social media and electronic communications were used to disseminate information and direct the public to rca resources. Rcas communications contractor handled routine inquiries related to meetings, newcomer support, and merchandise, referring specialized matters to appropriate committee chairs. Additionally, the trademarks and copyrights committee maintained and expanded rcas intellectual property protections by renewing existing trademark registrations and securing new registrations for digital and expanded service classifications. These combined activities supported rcas mission of providing recovery support to couples through meetings, literature, outreach, and fellowship- led service efforts throughout the united states and internationally.
