IRS990/Desc0In 2024, AHV achieved the following milestones: We increased our occupancies at its two multifamily properties, which AHV developed and constructed, from the mid 80% occupancy to low 90% of leased and occupied units at the beginning of the year after a tumultuous 2023. Although we increased occupancy to provide more families with high quality housing at below market rates, our organization had to give up all operating cash flow in order to reconcile the escrow shortage from the prior years property insurance policy increases. Despite less income in 2024, AHV still donated $300,000 to local community economic development initiatives, provided periodic free classes at each residential community to residents on topics, including but not limited to, financial literacy, buying a home, healthy eating on a budget.
