ONE OF THE KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS FOR THE WINGS PROGRAM IS THE NUMBER OF LIVES SAVED. WITH A FIVE-YEAR SURVIVAL RATE OF 90% AMONG PROGRAM MEMBERS, WINGS' RESULTS ARE COMPETITIVE WITH NATIONAL AVERAGES. SINCE OUR INCEPTION IN 1999, WINGS HAS PROVIDED NO-COST BREAST CANCER TREATMENT TO UNINSURED WOMEN, OFFERING A LIFELINE FOR THOSE WHO WOULD OTHERWISE HAVE LIMITED OR NO ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE. WINGS ACHIEVED POSITIVE OUTCOMES, COLLECTIVELY SERVING OVER 1,000 INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, OF THOSE 825 WOMEN WERE DIRECTLY SERVED BY THE ORGANIZATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. CENTRAL TO WINGS' SUCCESS IS OUR ABILITY TO MANAGE INDIVIDUAL HEALTHCARE PLANS, MEDICAL RECORDS, INSURANCE CLAIMS, PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS, AND ENGAGEMENT DETAILS THROUGH OUR DATABASE SYSTEM. THIS TECHNOLOGY ENABLES THE TEAM TO MONITOR, TRACK, PROCESS, AND SUPPORT EACH WOMAN'S HEALTHCARE NEEDS EFFECTIVELY. IN 2021 PATIENTS COLLECTIVELY RECEIVED 2,867 MEDICAL PROCEDURES/ TREATMENTS, TOTALING $825,014 IN BILLED MEDICAL CLAIMS.
