“The Form 990 is reviewed by the Chief Executive Officer, Audit Chair and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and Finance Team (Director of Finance and Administration and Manager of Finance). The Audit Committee Chair will report to the Board of Directors.”

“Each director, officer and member of a committee with board delegated powers shall annually sign a statement which affirms such person: (A) Has received a copy of the Conflicts of Interest policy; (B) Has read and understands the policy; (C) Has agreed to comply with the policy; and (D) Understands the organization is charitable and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax exempt purposes.”

“One of the Executive Committee's tasks is acting as the compensation committee related to the CEO. Each year, the Executive Committee reviews the CEO's performance. The board is solicited for input during the process. Performance evaluation is considered in relation to the total organization salary budget. Salaries of the CEO's direct reports are reviewed as well for internal equity purposes. The committee periodically utilizes salary surveys and information from other similar nonprofits and government positions for market rate comparisons. This was last done upon hiring the current CEO. The board approves the CEO's salary in addition to all staff salaries during the budget review process.”
