Mission

The corporation's mission is to address the diaper gap and its impact on individuals in crisis. The organization had many entities or organizations or individuals contribute approximately $4,220,861 of non-cash items during 2021 that was distributed to the needy. (in addition, 2,667 volunteers contributed over 10,687 hours of time for a total estimated amount of $305,007 - which has not been reflected in this tax return.) a total of 36,746 individuals, 29 organizations and 40 programs were served in 2021.)

Texas diaper bank (tdb) (formerly hispanic religious partnership for community health, inc.) officially filed for a name change with the proper public officials in april 2013 to further reflect the increase in their mission a ministry of health, education and nutrition as indicated on their website. Their mission is to provide services and resources to respond to families in crisis in bexar county and improve the daily conditions of their lives. In 2016, tdb operated three programs that included: healthy babies, incontinence gap and hunger relief.

THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH METHODIST HEALTHCARE MINISTRIES WESLEY NURSE PROGRAM, THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES FAMILIES WITH CHILD HEALTH AND CARE EDUCATION CLASSES. FAMILIES WHO ATTEND THESE CLASSES EARN VOUCHERS FOR DIAPERS, BABY ITEMS AND FOOD FOR THE FAMILY WHICH ARE REDEEMABLE AT THE TDB. ADDITIONALLY, THROUGH THIS PROGRAM THE TDB WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH 13 LOCAL NONPROFIT AGENCIES TO BETTER SERVE FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN WHO ARE STRUGGLING THROUGH CONDITIONS OF HOMELESSNESS, NEGLECT, ABUSE, ETC. THE TDB PROVIDES THESE AGENCIES WITH A YEARLY SUPPLY OF DIAPERS. INCONTINENCE GAP PROGRAMTHE INCONTINENCE GAP PROGRAM PROVIDES LOW-INCOME FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AND SENIORS WITH DISABILITIES WITH DIRECT ASSISTANCE WITH INCONTINENCE PRODUCTS (DIAPERS, PADS, BED LINERS, ETC.) DURING THE INTERIM APPLICATION PERIOD (3-4 MONTHS) FOR TEXAS MEDICAID OR MEDICARE - QMB BENEFITS. THE TEXAS MEDICAID OR MEDICARE QMB BENEFITS PROVIDE MONTHLY ASSISTANCE WITH INCONTINENCE PRODUCTS TO QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED BY A PHYSICIAN AS HAVING AN INCONTINENCE HEALTH PROBLEM.HUNGER RELIEF PROGRAMTHE HUNGER RELIEF PROGRAM PROVIDES LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH FOOD TO MEET THEIR DAILY NUTRITIONAL NEEDS.
