Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 11B

The finance committee, chaired by the treasurer reviews form 990. Once the 990 is approved, the form is then requested to be filed. During a subsequent board meeting, all board members are given a copy of the filed return to review and ask questions.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

Directors are required to disclose annually any interest that could give rise to conflicts. All directors then receive a copy of the signed form. To date, no issues have arisen.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A

The executive director meets annually with the board president to review the annual employee evaluation. The board president determines the compensation for the executive director and uses all available resources to arrive at the compensation amount.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 19

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 2, Part V, Line 4

The intended use of the organization's endowment funds is to support the mission of the organization. The policy of the board is to preserve and increase amounts designated for the endowment through the designation of current year earnings and non-invasion of the principal. The board's intention is to begin utilizing the endowment's annual income and appreciation as soon as the principal balance is 500,000. This is consistent with the organization's objective to maintain the purchasing power of the endowment assets as well as to provide additional real growth through investment return.
