Per the constitution of the organization, the officers and executive board are democratically elected by the members of the organization. The election is normally held every 4 years, by majority vote of delegates to the convention. The election process is outlined in the constitution.

A convention is held every four years. Only delegates to the convention have voting power. By a majority vote, decisions are voted upon by the delegates. The executive board has governing authority between conventions as delegated by the constitution and by-laws.

The secretary/treasurer of the organization reviews and approves the form 990 and then provides the form 990 to the executive board.

The secretary/treasurer and the executive board are responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the conflict of interest policy. Once a year, the secretary/treasurer will require written confirmation by the officers and the executive board that they are in compliance with the policy. The secretary/treasurer will also require any officer and/or executive board member to notify the organization of any changes in compliance with the conflict of interest policy.
