Anthony hospital foundation provides philanthropic dollars to support the healing mission of ssm health oklahoma in providing exceptional, compassionate health care to the people and communities we serve, especially the poor and vulnerable. Ssm health oklahoma is comprised of five hospitals - ssm health st. Anthony hospital, ssm health bone & joint hospital at st. Anthony, ssm health st. Anthony hospital - shawnee, ssm health st. Anthony hospital shawnee, seminole campus, ssm health st. Anthony hospital - midwest, five healthplexes, and numerous ambulatory campuses and medical clinics. Through our affiliate health oklahoma network of 16 rural hospitals and six managed hospitals, we are strengthening health care throughout oklahoma by providing management expertise, telemedicine, specialty physicians, technology assistance and caring for critically ill patients transferred each month to receive care their home hospital cannot provide. Summarize the foundation's approach to providing community benefit. Our top priority is the health, comfort and satisfaction of our patients. Exceptionally skilled teams of physicians, nurses and technicians provide state-of-the-art medicine in an environment that fosters hope and healing. Philanthropic donations help give patients the very best care by funding new equipment and technology, improving patient care areas, training our health care professionals and ensuring all our patients receive exceptional, compassionate health care. Our giving priorities are aligned with the strategic goals of ssm health oklahoma, ensuring that monies donated to st. Anthony foundation are used to support critical medical services. Our current giving priorities are: comprehensive digestive care center and crohn's & colitis center of excellence: donations enable st. Anthony to continue its leadership in digestive care, including nationally regarded crohn's and colitis research and treatments led by dr. Tauseef ali. Behavioral medicine: as the largest provider of mental health in the state of oklahoma, we help patients from as young as four to elderly citizens. Description of community benefit programs donations support hospital and facility improvements, add new technology and equipment, support patient care areas, provide continuing education opportunities to medical staff and provide patient assistance through our care and compassion funds and the sisters fund that provides prescription medications to the needy. Recent accomplishments made possible with donations to the foundation include but are not limited to: st. Anthony was the first hospital in the nation to purchase the new siemens biograph trinion pet/ct and the first hospital in oklahoma to have this system up and running for improved patient care, including patient scan times that are twice as fast, allowing for an earlier patient diagnosis. Scans are highly sensitive, producing advanced images, and enhancing our ability to accurately find and stage cancers. Construction began on the new love family entrance and lobby for st. Anthony hospital to alleviate access issues, provide increased safety, and promote a healing atmosphere for patients. Begin multi-year renovation of st. Anthony patient floors to enhance patient experience. Relocating and doubling the size of st. Anthony hospital's family medicine center and residency program. Adding new playground equipment and renovating the gymnasium floor to provide exercise and play areas for children and adolescent patients in our behavioral medicine center. Supporting our saints team members when they face personal disasters and challenges. Adding new equipment and technology to deliver the best care to our patients. Helping our most vulnerable patients by providing prescription medications, as well as clothing items, shoes and other needs to help keep them well after discharge.
