Operates in a manner consistent with its charitable purposes and does not engage in activities that could jeopardize its tax-exempt status, periodic reviews are conducted. The periodic reviews include (a) whether compensation and benefits are reasonable, based on survey information and the result of arm's length bargaining, and (b) if any partnerships, joint ventures, and/or arrangements with management organizations conform to 12 & 12, inc,'s written policies, are properly recorded, reflect reasonable investment or payments for goods and services, further its charitable purposes and do not result in compensation, impermissible private benefit or in an excess benefit transaction.”

“Top management officials are reviewed by members of the board of directors annually. After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, an employee may receive a review conducted by their supervisor or manager. The annual review will be in writing and the employee will be allowed to examine their annual review, ask questions, make comments, etc. The supervisor/manager may recommend an increase or bonus based on performance as measured on the current review and consideration of prior reviews, new job roles accepted, intangibles, disciplinary issues, etc., and budgetary constraints/funds availability. Salaries and wages of staff will be compared to the odmhsas private nonprofit compensation statistics and the tauw salary survey for competitiveness and evaluation for possible market rate adjustments.”
