Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Southern california development corporation of voa (scdc), a california nonprofit public benefit corporation, is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1954, as amended, and the revenue and taxation code of the state of california. For the year ended june 30, 2024, management of scdc believes it has adequate support for all material tax positions and that it is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, that the positions will be sustained upon examination. Scdc has analyzed the tax positions taken in its filings with the internal revenue service and the california franchise tax board. Scdc believes that its income tax filing positions will be sustained upon examination and does not anticipate any adjustments that would result in a material adverse effect on the scdc's financial condition, results of operations or cash flows. Accordingly, scdc has not recorded any reserves, or related accruals for interest and penalties, for uncertain income tax positions at june 30, 2024.

FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024, MANAGEMENT OF SCDC BELIEVES IT HAS ADEQUATE SUPPORT FOR ALL MATERIAL TAX POSITIONS AND THAT IT IS MORE LIKELY THAN NOT, BASED ON THE TECHNICAL MERITS, THAT THE POSITIONS WILL BE SUSTAINED UPON EXAMINATION. SCDC HAS ANALYZED THE TAX POSITIONS TAKEN IN ITS FILINGS WITH THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE AND THE CALIFORNIA FRANCHISE TAX BOARD. SCDC BELIEVES THAT ITS INCOME TAX FILING POSITIONS WILL BE SUSTAINED UPON EXAMINATION AND DOES NOT ANTICIPATE ANY ADJUSTMENTS THAT WOULD RESULT IN A MATERIAL ADVERSE EFFECT ON THE SCDC'S FINANCIAL CONDITION, RESULTS OF OPERATIONS OR CASH FLOWS. ACCORDINGLY, SCDC HAS NOT RECORDED ANY RESERVES, OR RELATED ACCRUALS FOR INTEREST AND PENALTIES, FOR UNCERTAIN INCOME TAX POSITIONS AT JUNE 30, 2024.
