Museum marketing and lmf staff support of lsm programming: in the 2011-2012 fiscal year the louisiana museum foundation (lmf) produced "preservation hall at 50: celebrating jazz," a marketing event to open an exhibition and to debut the museum's new performance venue in new orleans' old u.s. Mint. The event attracted about 750 museum supporters and grossed over $300,000. Lmf staff support of lsm programming was also provided through the agency's grantwriting program which generated funding for various museum projects. Lmf secured funding to market "music, movies and more at the mint," a film and performing arts series that debuted in the new venue after its opening in november 2011, and lmf continues to sell tickets and staff concessions tables for programming at the mint, and administers all funding and program partnering agreements for the functions.

Activity 3

In the 2011-2012 fiscal year, lmf provided funding to lsm for collections care. The museum's primary conservation projects in 2011-2012 were to digitize seven films from 1970, from its internationally renowned jazz collection and to digitize and e-publish french and spanish documents from its colonial documents archive.
