“Membership is available to those who meet the requirements determined by the Board of Directors. Emeritus Members consists primarily of previously elected Directors/Officers. Advisors and Community Representatives are nonvoting members and may be comprised of retired law enforcement officers, prominent members of the community/civic organizations/educational institutions and faith based who have worked with the criminal justice arena and public safety and exhibited extraordinary leadership and dedication to our mission.”

“The 990 was prepared and was submitted to the Treasurer and CEO of the Organization for review. After this review and any required revisions, the 990 was provided to the Executive Committee and then to the full Board of Directors for review and approval prior to its filing.”

“Board members annually sign a conflict of interest document and all board meetings will preface with a conflict of interest question prior to the start of business.”

“The process to determine the compensation of the President/CEO is the responsibility of the Compensation Committee, which is comprised of the Board Chair, Immediate Past Chair, Treasurer, up to two other representatives from the Executive Committee. It is conducted annually and results in a written Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that is renewed periodically. The process includes 1) an oral face-to-face evaluation, including a review of the accomplishment of the years goals, 2) the Compensation Committee gathers and reviews Executive and nonprofit compensation surveys for the local and South Central area to determine compensation policies and package guidelines for key personnel, 3) the compensation is reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, and 4)as stated above the compensation is part of the written MOU.”

“The Organization does not make its governing documents and policies available to the public however its annual financial statements are filed with the Louisiana Legislative Auditor and are avaiable on their website.”
