“Conflict of interest policy is reviewed with the board at the annual retreat in december. Each board member is required to announce any conflicts. Conflicts are then recorded in the minutes of that board meeting. All board members with conflicts then abstain on any votes in which they are conflicted.”

“The process for determining the compensation of the ceo includes obtaining salaries of comparable chamber executives as well as the salary of all chamber and economic development executives in the parish or in neighboring parishes and communities. Comparative data was compiled throught the 990s of those entities. The excutive committee, which is also the personnel committee, reviewes the data and makes recommendations based on that data.”
