Basically the business ceased to exist and everyone walked away from the animal Rescue.Fresh Start Animal Rescue discontinued doing business June 1. 2017. A dispute existed between the President and the business manager who was responsible for doing all the work at the Rescue. The President terminated the business manager and all the employees walked off the job in support of the business manager. Basically, no one was left to carry on with the operations of the Animal Rescue. The animals available for adoption were given to other shelters in the Belvidere area. All assets were very old and fully depreciated. Anything of any value was taken by the shelter(s) who took the animals. The old furniture was left in the building that was being rented. Nothing was sold.”
