Additional Explanations

Pt VI, Line 12C

Everyone who becomes employed at the Samaritan Inn must sign a conflict of interest policy stating that they have read the policy and will abide by it. If employed by the Samaritan Innc, all supplemental employment must be approved by the Executive Director or Director of Operations. At minimum, once a year the employee chart is updated and reviewed at which time any conflict of interest is also investigated. Also, when Samaritan Inn is called as a reference for "additional" employment, this triggers a review of the job description being sought against the Samaritan Inn's conflict of interest policy.

IRS990/Desc0The Samaritan Inn is a homeless shelter located in Mcinney, TX that can accommodate 170 men, women, or child residents at any given time.Our thrift store is a separate 501(c)(3) organization that was established to assist the inn's residents with clothing or household needs using the internal voucher system. We also sell directly to the general public. Sales are composed of donations made from the public that live within McKinney, TX area or that are within the delivery pickup area of Collin County. Currently, we do not depend on funding from any grants or other form of funding other than the sales made within our store, which is open Tuesday through Saturday weekly.
