| During the Tax Year beginning 6/30/17, Drachman Design-Build Coalition sold the recently completed single-family prototype residence to a family earning below 80% of the Area Median Income. DDBC performed one repair to a leak in a rain water tank. DDBC monitored the energy use of this home using electronic thermal sensors for one year to study thermal transfer through wall assemblies. The immediate benefit of the residence constructed was to a family of 6, and if the model plans are built again by other builders, this number will multiply. The research data measuring heat transfer through various wall assemblies will potentially benefit thousands of future homeowners. Approximately 35 undergraduate architecture students benefited from the hands-on professional experience of designing and constructing an energy efficient custom dwelling. | $5,531 | - |
