“The Arkansas Community Colleges changed their Constitution to:1)Change the Board members from elected positions to set members of the Board to include each Instituional Members Chief Executive Officers. The Institutional members are the 22 Community Colleges in Arkansas. 2) Allow nonvoting Associate Membership, by application and approval by Board of Directors, of a public, postsecondary education/training instution located in the State of Arkansas.”

“The membership of the AR Community Colleges consists of the institutional members, which are the 22 two-year colleges in the state of Arkansas, as well as the employees of those institutional members.”

“The Arkansas Community Colleges is governed by the Executive Committee which is elected by the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee is made up of 5 members.In the event of a vacancy on the Executive Committee, any member of the Board of Directors can nominate a candidate for the Executive Committee. A majority vote of the Board of Directors is required to elect a new member to the Executive Committee.”

“The compensation of the Executive Director of Arkansas Community Colleges is calculated based on the average salary of the Arkansas presidents and chancellors using the top 25%, or top five, salaries paid to the presidents of two-year colleges in the state. This is approved by the Presidents and Chancellors Division of the Board of Directors of Arkansas Community Colleges.”
