“Tennessee chapter of the american academy of pediatrics (tnaap) is a professional membership organization of over 1,000 primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical sub-specialists, pediatric surgical sub-specialists as well as other medical professionals and students dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of tennessees infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Tnaap is governed by a board of directors consisting of six at-large members elected by the members in their region. The board also includes a chapter president, vice president and secretary-treasurer who are elected by the members. The remaining three members of the board are the immediate past president, membership committee chairperson, and a local pediatric society representative. The executive committee, which conducts tnaap business on a daily basis, consists of the president, vice-president, secretary-treasurer, immediate past-president and one at-large member elected from and by the remaining members of the board.”
