“PART III- STATEMENTS ABOUT ACTIVITIES- LINE 4 =============================================The Warren W. Eukel Teacher Trust was formed to foster excellence in education. To accomplish this, the trust makes annual awards to outstanding teachers in Contra Costa County, California. The selection process for awards consists of personal contact with principals and Parent Teacher Associations of area schools, who in turn make recommendations of one or more teachers for an award. The teachers are then asked to respond to a series of questions, and the responses are reviewed by a nominating committee drawn from the Trust's Board of Directors. The committee normally selects ten nominees for personal interviews, and from these interviews, three persons are selected to receive an award. Throughout the process, the Committee is seeking teachers who, in addition to academic excellence, have takenextra steps to achieve student-oriented growth, results or nurturing. Unfortunately, due to operational constrains, the awards did not take place in 2022.”
