Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The primary purposes of this corporation are to assist indigent criminal appellants, principally in the appellate courts of the state of california but also in federal appellate courts, and to provide educational programs for law students and attorneys in order to advance the administration of criminal justice.

Ccap is a nonprofit public benefit corporation which administers the court appointed counsel system for the court of appeal in the third and fifth districts in california; the office operates under a contract with the judicial council of california.
