“Robert Gongloff, the former Board of Directors Chair, was contracted to do some technical work on online forms for $2,000.Jean Campbell, Director, was paid $6,000.00 for IMAGE assistance with the DreamTime magazine and marketing efforts. Jean was not directly paid but she is the director of iMage project, the non profit that was paid the $6,000.00 herein referenced, for managing the magazine and other consulting. Isaac Taitz, Director was paid $1,500 for oversight of CE program/APA management.Katherine Bell was paid $2,000 as Form Manager.”

“The Form 990 is completed by the Treasurer and the Office Manager. The IASD Office Manager sends a copy of the completed Form 990 in electronic form to all members of the IASD Board. The Board is advised that they have a 48 hour review and comment period in which to send suggested changes back to the IASD Treasurer via the Office Manager ([email protected]). Any necessary changes are made by the Treasurer, and the Form 990 is filed with the appropriate agency of the U.S. government by the Office Manager.”

“Reasonable compensation for officers and directors and key employees is determined and approved by the Board of Directors, during their annual October IASD Board meeting. At that time, all budgetary items (including compensation) for the coming year are presented by the Treasurer, and considered by the full Board. After discussion, the budgetary items are voted upon by the voting members of the Board. Budget approval requires a simple majority vote.”

“This corporation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation law for charitable purposes. The specific purposes for which this corporation is organized are to promote scientific research into the study of dreams and to provide an educational forum for the interdisciplinary exchange of such information among the scientific and professional community and the general public. The means for promoting scientific research and providing such education include, but are not limited to, conducting workshops and conferences available to both interested professionals and the general public and to periodically publish research related to studies into dreaming.”

“Journal of IASD, "Dreaming," Magazine of IASD, "Dream Time," Regional & Online Conferences. Through these outlets and other initiatives, IASD furthers the pursuit of the pure and applied investigation of dreams and dreaming. The purposes are to promote an awareness and appreciation of dreams in both professional and public arenas; to encourage research into the nature, function, and significance of dreaming; to advance the application of the study of dreams; and to provide a forum for the eclectic and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and information. IASD publishes the refereed journal, Dreaming, which provides new scientific research on dreaming. IASD also publishes its own in-house magazine, DreamTime, to educate members. Our popular website, www.asdreams.org, provides access to information about IASD, its bylaws, Board of Directors, and helpful information on dreaming, along with a discussion board to post questions.”

“In fulfillment of our mission, we conduct an annual international conference each June with more than one hundred presenters; numerous presentations provide CE credits for mental health professionals. Additionally, we host a two week on-line conference with presentations and extensive forum participation, and smaller regional conferences.”
