“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Day Training Program: Way of the Elders (WOE)Adult day training and functional skills programs designed specifically to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Independent Living Skills (ILS)Independent Living Skills program is a one-on-one training with developmentally disabled adults in the areas of nutrition, health, money management, household management and socialization. ILS provides in-depth assessments on skills specific appraisals and training. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Open Door (OD)The primary purpose of this program is to provide environments and activities that allow adults to function as contributing citizens with full rights and responsibilities. The emphasis centers on functional experiences and skill development. The goal is acquisition of new skills and increased competence in personal development, daily living, job related tasks and use of leisure time. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Center for Well Being (CWB)This is an innovative wellness program designed for persons with developmental disabilities. It utilizes traditional and proven alternative forms and creative methods of intervention, prevention, empowerment and support. A foundation assumption is that all individuals yearn to understand and direct their life process. Center for Well Being honors the whole self and addresses all aspects of wellness: physical, emotional, mental, social and environmental. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Camino Nuevo (CN)The unique purpose of this program is to provide an environment and activities that maintain and increase current levels of functioning and skill acquisition. The commitment is to the whole person and the intent is to foster a high level of physical, mental, emotional, and social health and well-being within the context of each person's daily reality. Activities and training occur in the natural environments offered in the surrounding communities. The clients, who benefit most from the Camino Nuevo format, are those who can actively participate in a day activity model that provides experiences in the community. Special attention is given to those with certain barriers that may preclude placement in other day activity environments. These barriers can include cultural and language barriers, social or behavioral challenges. The program is committed to provide these individuals with experiences and environments that promote quality of life with an awareness of and optimal use of their abilities and is geared towards the Spanish speaking community. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: South East Asian Friendship Village (SEAFV)South East Asian Friendship Village program is rooted in the belief that all persons, regardless of age or disability, possess unlimited potential. The program activities honor that potential and encourage the individual in a journey of personal growth. The program strives to create a climate for optimal living, cultural awareness and a program that empowers the person to become active decision makers in her/his own lives and to live that life to the fullest degree. The unique purpose is to provide an environment and activities that maintain and increase current levels of functioning and skill acquisition. The commitment is to the whole person and the intent is to foster a high level of physical, mental, emotional and social health and well-being within the context of each person's daily reality. Activities and training occur in the natural environments offered in the surrounding communities. Special attention is given to those with certain barriers that may preclude placement in other day activity environments. These barriers can include cultural and language barriers, social or behavioral challenges.The program is committed to provide these individuals with experiences and environments that promote quality of life with an awareness of and optimal use of their abilities. This program is geared towards the Mein and Cambodian speaking commun”
“EMPLOYEE RETENTION CREDITLaws and regulations concerning government programs, including the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, are complex and subject to varying interpretations. Claims made under the CARES Act may also be subject to retroactive audit and review. There can be no assurance that regulatory authorities will not challenge the Organizations claim to the ERC, and it is not possible to determine the impact (if any) this would have upon the Organization. During the year ended October 31, 2023, the Organization applied to receive $1,079,925 under ERC. The amount is recorded as receivables for the year ended October 31, 2024 because all barriers have been met during the year ended October 31, 2023. However, according to recent correspondence with the IRS and Paychex (as of May 2025), the IRS was unable to locate the original filings in its system, and the claims were not logged for processing. Paychex resent the filings with appropriate supporting documentation, including the signed amendments, a copy of the Form 8655, and proof of delivery for the prior submission. At the time of this report, the outcome of the amended filings remains uncertain, and amount related to the ERC has remained in the financial statements pending confirmation and processing by the IRS.”
“The Organization is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is exempt from California franchise taxes under similar state provisions.ASC 740-10 requires the Organization to determine whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination on the technical merits of the position, assuming the taxing authority has full knowledge of all information. If the tax position does not meet the more likely than not recognition threshold, the benefit of that position is not recognized in the financial statements. The Organization has no assets or liabilities related to uncertain tax positions. The Organization is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.”
