“Narrative of Accomplishments: Early 2024 was spent sailing south to Trinidad, allowing for a thorough test of vessel systems and for making connections with individuals and organizations that may be instrumental in the furthering of programs throughout the Virgin Islands and Lesser Antilles. This opportunity continued on the return journey back to Puerto Rico at the end of the year. 8 months of the year were spent in Trinidad, where the sailing vessel was entirely refitted with new rigging, safety life rails & adjoining stern pulpit and swim deck. The deck, hull & bottom were refinished and improved so it now has non-skid on deck surfaces, and a reinforced bottom with coatings that will endure wear and sea conditions exceptionally well. As Global Voyage board members continue to interact with others, plan and prepare for Global Voyage programs, we continue our commitment to Global Voyage's purpose of fostering positive change in communities and creating growth opportunities for youth.”
