Social, economic and cultural welfare of puerto rico.
The mission of coqui charities is simple - to promote the cultural, social and economic welfare of puerto rico. We are a group of people, some born and raised in puerto rico, others turned puerto rican after years of living and loving this island, that recognize that puerto rico is a special place, as unique as a coqui, and full of talented and vibrant people. The passage of the hurricane has been a very hard, collective time for our island and our goal is to help restore puerto rico and bring it back to its best. Coqui charities brings to life a whole-hearted idea - the idea that enriching puerto rico culturally will help puerto rico socially and economically and will be the catalyst to bring puerto rico back to its splendor. -cultural revival- the main component of coqui is to revitalize puerto rico culturally. The arts have always been one the best ways to brighten and liven a community, something puerto rico could certainly use after the year it's had. To this end, a big part of ou

The arts have always been one the best ways to brighten and liven a community, something puerto rico could certainly use after the year it's had. To this end, a big part of our goal is to broaden puerto rico's cultural offerings, as well as support current arts and cultural initiatives. We hope to enrich the lives of puerto ricans and its visitors and to help shine a spotlight on the beauty and uniqueness of puerto rico's own culture. Our hope is that this will start a cultural revolution, attracting more and more cultural initiatives and this in turn will snowball into social and economic benefits for the island and its amazing residents. -social conscience - many puerto ricans are still heavily affected by the hurricane. Our goal is to identify people and communities that still need help getting back on their feet. Coqui charities' founders have already been supporting certain initiatives in this realm, such as by collaborating with the world water foundation to bring potable water to communities that have been left without access to potable water as a result of the hurricane. A natural extension of coqui charities will be to continue collaborating with other foundations in this type of initiative.”
