“In october 2010, the organization opened the first public library in pilate, haiti with three full time staff and a grant of 25,600 books from the parliament foundation of quebec and refurbished computers donated by harvard emdical school's basic science partnership. Now, under the leadership of full time executive director and extensive volunteer support, the library in pilate serves a community of 40,000 people. Regular programs include multiple story times for young children and after school tutoring for youth and adolescents reaching more than 50 local children and youth per week.”

With 3 full time staff and a grant of 4,700 books form the parliament foundation of quebec. The organization also received 18,000 books from parliament of quebec for the new location. Currently the organization has eleven trained staff members in library management and operations. Ouanaminthe computer and media lab opened offering internet services to community in 2013 at the carol lentine children's library. The organization conducted fund raising in phoenix and tucson for this purpose. During the year 2014, universal learning centre maintained and supported 3 public libraries in haiti in the following towns: pilate, ferrier and quanaminthe. Board chairman, paul hopkins, visited the sites in july 2014, conducted employee reviews and ensured proper maintenance of the sites. Universal learning centre also held two fundraising gala's, one in phoenix and one in new york city.”
