“To provide our youth with positive parallel life skills, values, drive, motication and discipline needed to play the game of golf; to instill in our youth the sportsmanship, honesty, courtesy, integrity, and perserverance needed to enjoy the game of golf; to promote responsibility, respect and confidence in our youth while promoting excellent educational and cultural judgement in them so that someday they will practice the same principles in their daily lives; to support our parent - child program, celebrate and promote families in the inner city; to make the game of golf accessible in the inner city to all parents and children; to build a state of the art african american golfers museum and icyg clubhouse.”

“Inner city youth golfers, inc. 2025 year in review: icyg founder and president malachi knowles and executive director esmeralda knowles were judges at the martin luther king, jr. Parade for the city of riviera beach, fl we attended and participated in the diversity, equity & inclusion round table during the pga merchandise show in, orlando, fl., january 21-24, 2025. We also co-chaired a sock drive for the african american golf expo & forum. The socks were ultimately donated to the american legion of orange county for their homeless project. We facilitated the victoria kingdom 4 year scholarship through the children healthcare charity. The two students met the criteria to receive their third installment of 2,500. They will receive the same dollar amount each year for up to four years, provided they meet the criteria. We organized and implemented the annual icyg back of the house tour for our youth and parents. This is the fourth year during the newly named tournament cognizant classic in the palm beaches. We presented our golf skills development and education camps year-round at various locations throughout palm beach county, fl to include classroom training at the holiday inn express & suites, the pga tour superstore, palm beach gardens and other public spaces. Icyg continues to introduce the game of golf to the senior population at the lindsey davis community center located in riviera beach, fl helping them with their geriatrics and well-being. We are also hosting them at the pga tour superstore, palm beach gardens. Icyg founder and president malachi knowles and executive director esmeralda knowles attended the herbert l. Dixon scholarship golf tournament (mr. Dixon is 106 years old) to celebrate the occasion and continue to market our facility, african american golfers museum & inner city youth golfers clubhouse and programs. Icyg hosted the 2025 african american golfers hall of fame and the african american collegiate and youth golfers hall of fame. This annual event contributed to the economic development of palm beach county by bringing tourism to the area and adding heads in beds which add bed taxes to our county. We held our may golf clinic at bear lakes country club, approximately 20 youth and their parents participated. Icyg served as the golf clinician for the sports commissions annual kids fitness festival of the palm beaches, july 2025. An event that introduces over 30 sports to area summer camps (approximately 2500 youth and camp leaders attend) icyg awarded four 1,000 scholarships in palm beach county to deserving students and continue to find ways to support the student population in palm beach county. We also support like-minded organizations in their support of our young adults. Icyg volunteered at the palm beach county sports commission golf tournament in september and was given the opportunity to benefit from the 50-50 raffle. Icyg was invited to exhibit at a golf hole at the boca bowl outing in october. We were able to share our story with the players and sponsors and use the platform to fundraise. We continue to engage with our community by annually awarding the icyg community giant award to deserving individuals in palm beach county in december at eastpointe country club. Icyg received the pga tour- cognizant in the palm beaches equipment grant with a value of approximately 4500.00 during the event. We facilitated tickets to the boca bowl game in december. Approximately two-hundred participants attended. Several strategic sessions and board meetings were held at our home. We are on target to finish the construction of the african american golfers museum & icyg clubhouse. A state of the art building that will house a museum, a learning center with a computer lab, two golf simulators etc.”
