The okeechobee county family health/healthy start coalition, inc. (hereafter known as the coalition) is authorized under the authority of the department of health (doh) to implement the provisions of florida's healthy start legislation within okeechobee county. It is the intent of the healthy start legislation to establish a system which guarantees that all women have access to prenatal care and that all infants have access to services that promote normal growth and development. In okeechobee county this coalition believes that all women and children up to age three should have access to services which promote the health and wellbeing of these county residents.

The okeechobee county family health/healthy start coalition, inc. “The coalition shall develop and approve policies on the rules of order for the conduct of all meetings of the voting membership, executive committee, standing committees and ad-hoc committees. This policy and all procedural matters shall be governed by the latest edition of "robert's rules of order." all meetings held by any entity of the coalition shall follow this policy or the meeting will be considered out of order and any business conducted, voted or acted on will be disregarded by the coalition board of directors or voting membership.”
