Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Pensacola. Last year farm share played a critical role as a first responder after hurricane irma made landfall in florida. Within the first 10 days after hurricane irma made landfall, farm share distributed more than 1.7 million pounds of water, food, mre's, personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies to 32 counties affected by the storm. Within 30 days this number had grown to nearly 3 million pounds of hurricane related relief products. Farm share continued to provide long term relief efforts to monroe county and collier county up to a year later including providing more than 25 truckloads of mattresses, furniture, shoes and clothes to help these communities rebuild. Farm share also continued to expand its statewide food desert initiative by focusing on delivering food to those regions, counties, cities and neighborhoods that did not readily have access to fresh and nutritious fruits, vegetables and other goods. This was accomplished through farm share's more than 489 community food distribution events held throughout florida which also included expansion of farm share's focus on distributing food to senior housing centers and migrant worker labor camps. Additionally, farm share expanded its community policing and crime prevention program that was originally started with the united states attorney's office in 2015. This program focuses on using the power of food to reduce crime and improve community/law enforcement relations. As part of this program farm share partnered with law enforcement agencies throughout miami-dade, broward, palm beach, monroe, duval, flagler, clay, nassau, bradford, alachua, leon, wakulla, gadsden, franklin, gulf, bay, washington, escambia and liberty counties to distribute food directly to high crime and high conflict communities and neighborhoods. Farm share's community policing and crime prevention program has been a great success and has been endorsed by law enforcement agencies and community groups across the state of florida. Lastly, last year farm share partnered with the national association of letter carriers (nalc) to promote and organize the largest food drive in the state of florida. Farm share and the nalc held this food drive on may 10 and generated over 10 million pounds of non-perishable canned goods, cereal products, rice and other dry goods that were distributed to families in need throughout the state of florida. This was farm shares first year working with the nalc and we have already committed to participate next year.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

The organization has adopted the provisions of asc no 740, "accounting for uncertainty in income taxes" ("asc no 740"). Asc 740 required that the impact of tax positions to be recognized in the financial statements if they are more likely than not of being sustained upon examination. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is made in the financial statements. At 6/30/18, there were no uncertain tax positions. The organization files tax returns with us federal and other tax authorities for which statue limitations may go back to the year ended 2015.

IRS990/Desc0FARM SHARE'S MISSION IS TO ACQUIRE FRESH AND NUTRITIOUS FRUITS, VEGETABLES AND NON-PERISHABLE CANNED GOODS, PROTEINS AND OTHER FOOD AND DISTRIBUTE IT TO FAMILIES, CHILDREN, SENIOR CITIZENS AND INDIVIDUALS IN NEED ACROSS THE STATE OF FLORIDA. FARM SHARE'S UNIQUE PARTNERSHIPS WITH FLORIDA'S FARMERS, WHOLESALERS, RETAILERS AND INDIVIDUAL DONORS ENABLED FARM SHARE TO MOVE MORE THAN 55 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD IN FISCAL YEAR 2018 AND FEED NEARLY 17.5 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS AND SERVE 64 OUT OF FLORIDA'S 67 COUNTIES. FARM SHARE ACCOMPLISHED THIS FEAT BY UTILIZING ITS FIVE (5) REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION HUBS LOCATED IN HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA CITY, POMPANO BEACH, JACKSONVILLE AND QUINCY AND ALSO BY PARTNERING WITH MORE THAN 2,000 REGIONAL AND LOCAL AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE FROM KEY WEST TO PENSACOLA.
