Bonnet house preserves the historic estate of frederic and evelyn bartlett and shares their love of art and nature through public tours of the home, youth and adult education programs, and cultural events that foster community participation.

Bonnet house museum & gardens preserves the unique historic estate of frederic and evelyn bartlett. Through enjoyable and enriching cultural experiences, the museum connects today's community to the bartletts' architectural, artistic, and environmental legacy.

The collections, which were acquired through purchases and contributions since the organization's inception, are not recognized as assets in the statements of financial position. Purchases of collection items are recorded as decreases in unrestricted net assets in the year in which the items are acquired or as temporarily or permanently restricted net assets if the assets used to purchase the items are restricted by donors. Contributed collection items are not reflected on the financaial statements. Proceeds from deacessions or insurance recoveries are reflected as increases in the appropriate net asset classes.
