THE ASSOCIATION KEEPS PROPANE DEALERS ABREAST OF STATE AND FEDERAL COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY ISSUES WHICH AFFECT THE INDUSTRY. EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS WERE SENT TO MEMBERS EACH WEEK TO ENABLE MEMBERS TO PRESENT SAFETY INFORMATION AND REMINDERS TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS ARE CONDUCTED TO ENSURE PROPANE DELIVERY AND SERVICE/MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ARE UP TO DATE ON LAWS AND REGULATIONS THAT AFFECT THEIR DAILY DUTIES. ON A REGULAR BASIS, THE ASSOCIATION SENDS LEGISLATIVE BULLETINS TO ALL PROPANE DEALERS IN THE STATE TO KEEP THEM ADVISED OF CHANGES AND THE DATE NEW LAWS GO INTO EFFECT. OUR ASSOCIATION PROVIDED ITS MEMBERS WITH GUIDANCE ON PROTOCOLS, GOVERNMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS PARTICULARLY HOUR OF SERVICE WAIVERS (HOS) WAIVERS FOR CDL HAZ MAT DRIVERS DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER OR NATURAL DISASTERS AND THE INCREASE IN MOTOR FUEL EXCISE TAXES.
