Program service: national capacity building & networkexempt purpose achievements: although each chapter has its own identity, the chapter's work is enhanced as a part of a larger national network that provides a source of power, support and expertise to build national advocacy and support local chapter activities. Pps, inc. Conducts chapter training using curricula designed to enhance current and future success in all chapters, conducts regional and national leadership conferences for local chapters to provide technical assistance, strategies and support to chapters, works to plant new chapters focusing on school districts enrolling larger minority and disenfranshised populations and provides capacity building funds for chapters to address self-identified areas of weakness. Pps, inc. Executive director anne foster writes a blog for www.education.change.org as a means of placing education issues before a broader audience and works directly with the national family, school and community engagement working group (fsce) assisting president obama, the u.s. Department of education and the national conference of parental information and resource centers (pirc).
