“At the annual meeting the nominating committee presents a slate of potential board members for open board positions. Representatives from each member club then vote to approve or disapprove the nominating committee's selection.”

“Upon completion of the organization's form 990, a copy of the return is provided to the executive committee (who has the authority to act on behalf of the governing body). The executive committee members review the tax return and are free to ask any questions or engage in discussion regarding any topic covered in the return. Once the executive committee has reviewed the form 990, the return is filed with the internal revenue service.”

“The organization monitors and enforces compliance by requiring officers, directors, and key employees to annually disclose interests that could give rise to conflicts via a signed written statement.”

“The executive director's performance is evaluated annually by the executive committee (lead by the president) and a salary adjustment and variable compensation, if any, are determined. The executive committee considers comparative nonprofit organization salaries, information from the united states golf association, and comparative golf administration compensation data from the international association of golf administrators. The president and finance chairman meet with the executive director prior to year end. At this meeting the two officers will discuss the results of the evaluation. Any approved salary adjustment will be included in the budget to be proposed to the full board at the annual meeting.”
