“Article 3 section 3.1 and 3.2 members shall comply with the statement of policy of the american society of anesthesiologists and the principles of medical ethics of the american medical association. All members shall continuausly meet the requirements of their particular catefory of membership and such other requirements as set forth in the by-laws. Membership in the corporation is a privilege and not a right. The classes of membership shall be active, affiliate, resident, honorary and retired.”

“Section 2.2 annual meeting. The annual meeting of the active members shall be held within the first six months of the each calendar year when the active members shall elect officers and directors and transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.”

“Copy of form 990 and schedules remitted for board member review and approval.”

“Reviewed annually by board of directors for adherence to bylaws and conflict of interest policy.”

“Compensation is reviewed annually by the executive board and presented to the full board for review, recommendation and approval.”

“Upon request to the executive director.”

“To associate and affiliate into one organization all of the reputable doctors of medicine in the state of alabama who are engaged in the practice of, or otherwise specifically interested in anesthesiology; to promote the highest level of patient safety through the general elevation of the standards of this medical specialty; to encourage specialization in this field; to raise the standards of the specialty by fostering and encouraging continuing medical education, research and scientific progress in anesthesiology; to disseminate information in regard to anesthesiology; to protect the public against irresponsible and unqualified practitioners of anesthesiology; to safeguard the professional interest of its members and in all ways develop and further the specialty of anesthesiology.”
