Major Activities

Activity 2

The auburn club program provides support to 92 individual auburn clubs nationwide representing over 38,000 active members. Representatives of the office of alumni affairs attend and accompany speakers from academic, development, and athletic programs at more than 58 meetings annually. The club program hosts an annual club leadership conference in which incoming officers and club leaders gain knowledge of the activities of the association and university, obtain training and skills in management of the local club, and share ideas with each other about activities at the local club level instituted for the university's benefit. Local clubs are responsible for raising funds for 101 scholarships annually.

Activity 3

Alumni tent is a program implemented in 1997 to help foster a sense of identity and value in membership among association members. It is hosted by the association at home football games adjacent to jordan-hare stadium and admission is limited to members and their guests. It not only provides a central gathering place, but is used as an opportunity to exhibit and showcase various university schools, colleges, organizations and activities. Special guests included the auburn university marching band, the auburn university cheerleaders, ms. Auburn university, and aubie. The tent served an estimated 11,300 alumni and friends this year.
