“The Overmountain Victory Trail Association (OVTA), formed in 1979, is a 501(c)3 organization. It is the official partner of the National Park Service (NPS) for the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail (OVNHT). As such the OVTA, in partnership with the NPS, interprets the history of the participants and route they took to Kings Mountain in 1780. The OVTA also work to preserve the physical trail the Overmountain Men took, now the OVNHT.”
